Sailing in Nature was created as a testimony to the healing and transformative power in nature. I think I always recognised on some level just how essential nature was to our health and wellbeing, but it's often not until we're in crisis mode that we really start to prioritise the things that are most important to us, over societal constructs and expectations.
In the modern world, as a young person trying to establish a career and stability I realised I neglected so much of what I needed to feel at my best. Going through the journey of healing from the benzodiazepine re-awakened a sense of what's necessary to heal and thrive in life. Spending more time in nature, with the rhythm of nature is one of the core elements that I believe can help us heal significantly. The abstract shape, representing both a sailing boat and a bird connects to the sense of 'sailing/flying with nature and the feeling of movement, change, growth.
